The Green-eyed WizardThe characters all had various low titles and levels within the Imperial Kingdom's court when the Passage opened and the Hordes began to march on the Imperial lands. The court is in turmoil, as those that had been strong followers of Aur renounce their faith or go into hiding and the Royal Families--sensing that they are loosing the world they have held so long--begin to tighten their bloody grasp on the situation by nightly assassinations and poisoned alliances. The characters are simply pawns in the struggle between different Families, but then a mysterious wizard with green eyes appears in all of their dreams the same night speaking of change and prophecies of the future. In the dream the wizard tells all of the character (who at this stage do not know each other personally) to meet on an ancient hill outside of the small border town to the City of Aur, the City Fleur, on the next night of the full moon. All the characters appear on this hill on that night and, to their surprise, see each other there! And, suddenly, the moon grows dark and the wind chills, all sound dims and the characters' mouths taste dry and coppery...and upon the hill before them stands the strange green-eyed wizard from their dreams holding a staff of dark wood and red and black robes. He then speaks in a distant voice of creaking castles: "Your stars all shine brightly with the Serpent Moon tonight, as they dance with each other across the Archipelagos Constellation. Find the boy that has never been born who walks with the man without eyes in the City of Aur and find the crossroads to all your destinies." With that the green-eyed wizard is gone and the characters are left alone staring at each other on top of the hill under the full moon. What now!?
