Archive: A0095: The Cryogenic Murders

This is one of the most disturbing cases I have ever encountered and it is also one of the few that was referred to me through official channels. Agent Valentine agrees with my judgment that the case was rightly referred to the Archives as the nature, cause and explanation of the events that surround what the media-pods have referred to as the "Cryogenic Murders" leaves even the most hardened and experienced agent reeling. Who or what could commit such heinous acts and what would motivate them to do so. As much as I am revolted by this case, I am drawn to it in a way that I cannot explain: could it have to do with the disappearance of the fourteen years when I was younger? Was I an earlier victim of this time-hopping fiend and that I view my apprehension of this monster as a way of getting back everything that I lost? All I know is that evil such as this must be stopped.

The first string of cases that was officially noted occurred as far back as AD3417 in the old Colonels Mega System Planets that revolve around a dead sun and experience significant cooling effects when night falls. A Moomle search cross referenced to Wikipedia historical files will reveal over 1,528,003 sites related to the events that have unfolded over thirteen--possibly fourteen--years on these planets. Some even believe a form of a god of vengeance to be involved, similar to the primitive beliefs that the pre-Virus settles were thought to harbor. The responsible party--called CM after the initials he left in his victims blood at each scene--has even registered, been given, or someone else has made a MyMegaSpace for him with graphic details of the crimes and various conflicting philosophies and claims on past and future evens.

I have not entirely discounted this website as a being a "fan" site, but I cannot trace it through the Deep Web--official Bureau operations does not allow for hiring Deep Runners, just as it does not acknowledge the existence of the organization of crime naming itself the Moriati--and, thus, do not know where the user's IP address comes from. In a case with as many gruesome mysteries as this, I cannot discard any scrap of evidence and must conclude that cm.mymegaspace.uni is in some how connected to these--past, present, and future--events.

I have inserted Agent Valentine's preliminary review of the recorded deaths here and we have simulated them in virtual death-kits within the Bureau <data-megaway attachement_filipsoVirtualFile.fps>.

Although the culprit or culprits of these crimes--which are most likely connected--have not been apprehended at the time of writing this I have recorded the summary of our ongoing investigations here for future reference. The details of all test results, samples taken from each scene, and so forth can be found at the physical safe boxes outside of the Web per application.

Below follows the details of the first of what I believe will be a string of 13 murders within the Merchant Planets system.

Without doubt this continuing case has drawn and will continue to draw a large amount of public attention and become a thing of media-pod streams, movies, websites, cults, legends, and even hacker nicknames (the alleged hacker, Red*69, apparently takes his name from this case). Although I am at a loss for evidence and explanation I will continue to devote my time to solving this gruesome mystery.

If the past actions of this/these murder(s) can be used as an indicator of future actions then I have a year and a day until the next murder in this sixty-nine day Cycle.
